Day 01 : Arrive Gaya / Bodhgaya
Arrive Bodhgaya. Our representative will meet you at airport and will assist
for transfer. Check into hotel. Bodhgaya is the place where Lord Buddha
attained enlightenment under the Bodhi tree. Afternoon visit Mahabodhi
Temple, Archaeological Museum, Bodhi tree, Thai Temple, The Burmese Temple,
Tibetan Monastery, International Buddhist House, Buddhist Monastery of
Bhutan and The Chinese Temple and Monastry. Overnight stay at hotel.
Day 02 : Bodhgaya - Rajgir - Nalanda -
Bodhgaya
Morning excursion tour to Rajgir & Nalanda. Nalanda was the most
renowned university in ancient India. Established in the 5th century B.C. it
remained a live center of learning till the 12th century A.D. Rajgir was the
lifetime of the Buddha and was the capital of the powerful Magadhan kingdom,
ruled by the virtuous King Bimbisara. Overnight stay at hotel at Bodhgaya.
Day 03 : Bodhgaya - Varanasi (Sarnath)
Morning drive to Varanasi (251 kms / 7 hrs), on arrival transfer to hotel.
The blessed locale where more than 2,500 years ago Buddha chose to deliver
his first sermon, after attaining Nirvana. The five disciples who had
followed him were surprised to see the mesmerizing glowing countenance of
Buddha, who convinced them and delivered his first sermon before them, now
termed Dharamachakra Pravartan. Overnight stay at hotel.
Day 04 : Varanasi - Kushinagar
Early morning boat ride on River Ganges. After breakfast leave for full day
sightseeing of the city. The places of interest are Bharat Mata Temple,
Durga Temple, Tulsi Manas and the Banaras Hindu University. Afternoon drive
to Kushinagar (275 kms / 8 hrs). Upon arrival check in at hotel. Overnight
stay at hotel.
Day 05 : Kushinagar - Sravasti
Lord Buddha attained Mahaparinirvana at his eightieth year. Morning visit
Mahaparinirvana Temple, Nirvana Chaitya, Ramabhar Stupa, Matha Kuar Shrina
and various temples. Later drive to Sravasti (270 kms / 07 hrs). On arrival
check into to hotel. Overnight stay at hotel.
Day 06 : Sravasti - Lumbini
Lord Buddha spent 24 rainy season here and is the place of Lord's greatest
miracles. Morning visit Sahet Mahet (Capital of ancient kingdom of Kosla),
Jetawana Gardens and various Buddhist temples. Afternoon drive Lumbini (In
Nepal), which is 190 kms approx. 05 hrs drive. On arrival transfer to hotel.
Evening visit Buddhist temples for prayer. Overnight at hotel. Lumbini is
the place where enlighted Gautam Buddha was born.
Day 07 : Lumbini - Kathmandu
Morning visit Buddhist temple & stupas. Later transfer to Bhairwa
airport to connect flight for Kathmandu. Afternoon tour of Katmandu City -
Durbar Square complex of palaces, courtyards and temples, built between the
12th and 18th centuries, used to be the seat of the ancient Malla kings of
Katmandu (Nepal). Overnight stay at hotel.
Day 08 : Kathmandu / Out
Morning transfer to Airport to connect flight for onward connection.
