Day 01 : Delhi
Jantar Mantar, Jaipur The "Palace on Wheels" leaves Safdarjung Railway Station every Wednesday at 1800 hrs Come aboard and expe-rience a fascinating eight days journey through the desert state Rajasthan.

Day 02 : Jaipur
Jaipur is Rajasthan's capital. It was founded by Maharajah Jai Singh || in 1727 and counts among India's most beautiful cities.Morning: You visit the Amber Fort, you ascend Ihe fort on elephant back (subject to availabilily). Visit Ihe world famous Fort Palace with its unique mirror galleries.Afternoon: Visit the City Palace with its "Sowai Singh Museum". It holds an impressive collection of furniture, jewellery and arms from the Raiput period. The next stop is Jai Singh II's observatory, the Jantar Mantar The absolute highlight, however, is Jaipur's landmark; The "Palace of the Winds". This is a magnificent five storeyed building with a "honeycomb" facade, made from red and pink sandstone.Lunch at Le Meridian Hotel ond Dinner on Board.

Day 03 : Jaisalmer
Jaisalmer-the golden town - is situated in the middle of Ihe Thar desert. The medieval fort made from yellow sand-stone is a well-known landmark. The houses were built between the 12th and 15th century and are decorated with the finest carvings They are amazingly well preserved, and so visiting Jaisalmer feels like strolling Ihrough a huge museum.After a short break in the early after-noon, we head for the Jaisalmer dunes. Camels take your through part of the endless Thar DesertLunch on Board and Dinner at Hotel Gorbandh Palace.

Day 04 : Jodhpur
Umaid Bhavan Palace, JodhpurJodphur used to be the capital of the Mcrwar empire. Situated in the eastern part of the Thar desert, it resemble a green oasis with its trees, plants andartificial lakes. An extensive city tour is followed by a splendid lunch in the Umaid Bhavan Palace Hotel In the afternoon, the journey continues to Sawai Madhopur.Lunch at Umaid Bhavan Palace and Dinner on Board.

Day 05 : Sawai Madhopur and Chittaurgarh
The historic city of Sawai Madhopur is one of the most visited places in Rajasthan. It is olso the gateway to the wov Id-famous Ranthcmbore National Park, a game preserve with innumerable animal and plant species. Experience gazelles, deers, hyenas, crocodiles and even tigers living in their natural habitat Later in the morning, the "Palace on Wheels" rides on to Chittaurgarh.The Chittor dates back to the eighth century and is Raiasthan's oldest fort. Situated on a hill at 180 m, you can still feel a whiff of the Raiput pride and heroism here. In 1 303, Aladdin Khilji copiured the fort. He took revenge on the Rajputs because he had not been able to win the heart of Chittor's legen-dary beouty, Padmmi. The ruins of ¦those magnificent buildings keep telling their stories until today.Lunch ond Dinner on Board.

Day 06 : Udaipur
Udaipur lies on the shores of the shim-mering lake Pichola. Being the economic ond cultural centre o1 the Mewar region, it is also one of the mostromantic towns in Ra|as!honr The city was founded in 1568- Experience its harmonic mixture of snow-white houses, pompous palaces, blossoming gardens, temples and havelis.Lunch at Faleh Prakosh Hotel ond Dinner on Board.

Day 07 : Bharatpur,Agra
Bharatpur Bird SanctuaryIn the morning, the Palace on Wheels arrives in Bharatpur, the capital of Maharaja Suraj Mal . After breakfast pay a visit 1o the world famous bird sanctuary, Keoladea Ghana National Park, the nesting plate for thousands of Egrets, Siberian Cranes, migratory Water Fowl and other species of birds. Deport for Agra.
Upon arrival visit the Agro Fort and after lunch arrive at the Ta| Mahal, one of 'he seven wonders of the world A pristine monument of undying love. It was built by Emperor Shah jahpn in memory of his beloved queen Mumtaz Mahal. Agra is known for i1s splendid marble inlay work like the Pietro Dura work on the Taj, leather goods and jewellery.

Day 08 : Delhi
